This real-time UE5 environment is a personal project I've been working on in the background for a while now. I was originally inspired by images on LoFi streams, but my main goal was to create a place that is calm and relaxing. In other words to capture the feeling of LoFi. A challenge I set for myself was to push for a more painterly/stylized look that still takes advantage of a PBR workflow and lighting.
I created every asset and material for this project using a combination of Houdini, Blender, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer. The water is using the UE5 Water plugin and the skybox HDRI is from Polyhaven.
