ESO: Gold Road Materials

This is a series of materials I made for the Gold Road expansion of Elder Scrolls Online. Over the years I've transitioned from using solely Substance Designer and have experimented more with procedural 3D material creation in Houdini. For all of the stone materials shown here, I sculpted 12 rocks in Zbrush, baked them onto medium poly meshes, and used physics simulations in Houdini to generate different walls. We wanted to have various qualities of walls to distinguish high, medium, and low quality architecture. After simulation, I made a few manual adjustments for ideal tiling. Finally I baked the materials onto flat planes and added the grout in SD. The roof material is still 100% SD work.
